TEAM RULES
- A team must have at least 4 players to start a game.
- At least 2 of the team players on the court must be of the opposite sex (male or female). If you have only one member of the opposite sex, you must play with one less player (i.e. 4:1).
- All players' waivers and fees must be up to date and teams must be paid in full before their second game.
- Teams may use players from another team if they do not have enough players, if their opponents agree.
- Games are to 25 points, in rally point format.
- Games must be won by 2 points - no point cap is in affect, except as follows.
- At 20 minutes past the hour, a 'soft-cap' will be in place. At this point, the game will be won when one of the teams reaches a score equal to the current leading team's score, plus 5 points. For instance, if the score is 13 to 7 at 20 minutes past the hour, then the first team to reach 18 points will be declared the winner.
- At 27 minutes past the hour, whichever team is leading wins the match.
- If the ball touches the net during the serve but still makes it over the net, it is still in play.
- If the server throws the ball up to make the serve, they must complete the serve. They cannot let the ball drop in order to throw it again.
- To be eligible for playoffs, you must be on the team roster AND HAVE PLAYED IN AT LEAST FIVE(5) REGULAR SEASON GAMES.
- Each team be permitted one 'emergency rotation' per set. If you are stuck in a rotation receiving serve that just isn't working and the other team has served consecutive points against you, you may rotate one position to break the pattern.
Team Rosters Must Be Handed In And Finalized By Your Fourth Game
- After this date, no new players can be added to your roster
- Teams may have unlimited players on their roster.
